A day out....

Katie's pink elephant, Stacey is not a Build a Bear. Grace's green bear, Logan is. Logan is for Zach, with a feeding tube. It's adorable. So it seemed right to take the kids for a day out to the mall. All was going well till Katie wanted to fix Stacey's floppy neck. Say what?! She took Stacey up to the Build a Bear "stuffer" and asked if she could fix her. I thought no way but she opens Stacey's seams and starts to fluff. She stuffed her stiff and Katie is almost to tears. I'm just in a little shock and really not sure what to say or do. "Excuse me, this elephant is too stiff." or "Thank you for opening up the seams on my daughters favorite stuffed animal but it's not even close to what its supposed to look like." Yeah, I was a lose for words.  I decided to tell Katie I'll give Stacey stitches when we get home. So that is what I did. I also removed over half the stuffing and Stacey still is sitting upright. Oh, the joys. I had a comfort blanket and my mom had to deal with all the drama too. The best thing that she ever did was pack it when we were moving cross country. By the time we got to where we were going I needed it no longer. Well played, Mom.
