All good things must come to an end. Thomas' marching band days are over. I'm so pleased he stuck with it for all his years in high school. Thomas had a choice to make his Junior year. The city opened up a new high school and he could stay at the old, more established school or venture to a new high school and be one of very few upper class men. One reason he switched to the new high school was the band director, Mr. Anderson. I admire Mr. Anderson a lot and I think Thomas does too. He is a perfectionist. He has the band winning competitions already and they are so organized and precise on and off the field. It's been fun to watch. Mr. Anderson has a talent. Thomas was also Senior drill tech this year. It was a fun opportunity.
On Friday they recognized the Seniors, all 14. It was fun to see his friends out there too. They have been together a long time. Over the loud speaker they announced that Thomas plans to serve a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attend BYU. That was just cool. Our friends the Greenfield's came and watched too. It was a great way to end a chapter.
Tyler and Katie were on the field to welcome the football team.
Madison, Alabama.....not a bad place to call home. Rather it's a blessing.
