Cub Day Camp 2013

Last year I volunteered to go to the District Day camp. I ended up having no boys I knew in my group, it was hot and humid and I was given a lot of time to ponder. 4 days to be exact. I thought the whole time I was there that I could maybe, just maybe, do a Pack day camp with our boys. For cheaper and better. And so I did with a lot of help. We finished Saturday. Here's a little of what we did.

Swimming belt loop!
Water games even with my Katie.

We made awesome bird houses.
A map and compass class with Captain Jack Sparrow.

Oh, look it's my friend. He still is nice to me. Now whether or not he remembers me taking care of him for a while I still get smiles and high fives. He'll always have a special place in my heart.
Shooting off water bottle rockets with eggstrounants attached.

Here's Tyler's.

And his egg stayed unbroken. I was so impressed. Only 4 out of 12 survived.

We also tie-dyed shirts, music, nutrition, good manners, basketball, photography, math and science.....As I was once again pondering I had to chuckle. Never would you find those on a list of belt loops in my hometown, Greeley, CO. There you would have hiking, rocks and mineral, geologist, and mountain biking. I come from a different place. I had fun at day camp. Tyler did too. Hopefully the fun continues. Tyler is now a Webelo. Whoa!
