In our city they finally got a new high school. Thomas was given a choice to stay at the old one or head over to the new one. Without hesitation he wanted to go to the new one, James Clemens. His desire convinced his buddies to go with him. One of the reasons he wanted to go was because the assistant band director would be the head director at the new high school. We have a lot of respect for Mr. Anderson and it's been fun to watch this group of 86 learn together. They are still with out uniforms but they've got a lot of spirit and it make me happy to see my boy as one of a few upper class men.
Last night was James Clemens (new school) vs. Bob Jones (other school). Everyone in town was there last night. Okay, maybe not everyone but it was sure a large crowd.
There was a huge fireworks display. We were honoring veterans. So cool. My kids loved it.
We said to good-bye to Thomas at half. The score 0-72. Not really a game. You see the football players had a choice too and they stayed. We'll give James Clemens a few years to catch up. We figure by the Kaylyn will get there the football team will be as awesome as the band.
Then there's Tyler. He picked up all the confetti aka: toilet paper from the student section. It took us a good few minutes to explain that one to him. Love this boy.
Hopefully we will make one more game when their uniforms get here. Maybe in October.....
