Oh Sunny Day!

We finally had a nice weather day. We saw the sun and decided to get going on our garden.

We are total rookies at this but got a real good deal on some berry bushes and needed to get them in the ground.

The kids are such amazing helpers.

Thomas has made us a garden plan. He also built one of our boxes. He is genuinely excited about this. Plus look at him. He is growing up. Am I really old enough to be his mom?!

Tyler loves the hose and the mud.

And here is our "bush." Right now they are only twigs.

And this is our sweet Katie. She just wants strawberries right now.

Last year was our first attempt at a garden. This year I sure hope we have better success.
But I have come to learn that with gardening it is not the end result but the process. I can't tell you how much joy this brings our family. Who would have guessed?

I sure hope that you get lots of berries this summer!!! I agree that the process of gardening is what it is all about and the results are a gift.

You do have great kids! Thomas is SO handsome and grown up looking. No one would ever guess you're old enough to be his mom. :)

I saw your little bit in her Primary class yesterday and she literally took my breath away with that face she has. Those eyes are amazing! I would need to smoosh her all day.

Oh yeah...I forgot:

Good luck with the berries!!! Maybe if you have a great harvest, we can get together and make some muffins. :)
